Book Releases & Reviews: April 13, 2021

We read a lot of books every month and don’t have time to review every new release on the blog. But we do post mini reviews of the books we read on Instagram. We’ve decided to highlight those mini reviews for new releases ever Tuesday. Or at least the Tuesdays when we’ve got a new release to review. So today, check out our review of some April 13 book releases.

4/5 stars

I have killed more than a few succulents with my love (my love primarily comes in the form of over-watering). I’ve been pretty successful with my aloes, jades, hoya, and Easter cactus, but I’m ready to dive deeper into the world of houseplants. This book is adorable. The illustrations are so cute, and it’s full of great advice. I feel like I have more information about how to help my plants thrive.

A few other new releases out today worth checking out: Hana Khan Carries On by Uzma Jalaluddin (the author of Ayesha at Last, which we both adored) and The Helm of Midnight by Marina Lostetter.

And while you’re looking at today’s new releases, check out our full review of Victories Greater Than Death by Charlie Jane Anders, which is also releasing today. What other April 13 book releases are you most looking forward to reading?
