Book Releases and Reviews June 21, 2022

We’ve reviewed two super cute romances for June 21, 2022 book releases. We enjoyed a fake dating LGBTQIA romance and a home renovation small town romance.

D’Vaughn and Kris Plan a Wedding by Chencia C. Higgins

4/5

I love a cute, low drama romance! D’Vaughn hopes being on the newest season of Instant I Do will help her finally come out to her religious family, while Kris is looking to find the love of her life. All they have to do is convince their families they’re marrying a complete strange in six weeks. If they make it down the aisle without anyone guessing this is all for TV, they get to choose between a $100,000 cash prize or getting the all-expense paid wedding of their dreams. Now, Kris just has to convince D’Vaughn that their is more between them than just reality TV magic.

This was a super cute, light read without much drama, which was exactly what I was looking for. While there was some miscommunication, nothing was dragged out just for added drama and conflict. If you’re looking for a low / no drama romance novel, this is definitely a great pick!

Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score

4.5/5

Maggie travels around the country flipping houses for her one million YouTube subscribers, and definitely isn’t looking to put down roots. Then she takes on her most ambitious project yet in Kinship, Idaho, and her handsome landscape architect, Silas Wright, is immediately interested in changing her mind.

I loved the romance between Maggie and Silas, as well as the found family aspects of the novel and the mystery behind the Campbell house. I loved that both Silas and Maggie needed to grow as people to be ready for a relationship. It was an entertaining read all the way through.

We’re also can’t wait to read these June 21 book releases: Fake it Till You Bake It by Jamie Wesley, Reasons Why Not to Date Public Enemy CEO by Melanie Munton, Epically Earnest by Molly Horan, and This Wicked Fate by Bayron Kalynn

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers to ARCs of the books for review.
